St Michael's regular Sunday service is a sung mass, led by the vicar and supported by a small but very able choir, directed by Glynne Butt. This plays a valuable and much-appreciated role in our worship week by week. We are fortunate too to have the services of two talented organists : Graham Howell and Malcolm Pearce who share the organ stool. On the rare occasions when neither is available, our service is accompanied by piano. St Michael's Christmas Eve service of lessons and carols has become an important event in the Abingdon Christmas calendar and, for late-comers, there is often standing room only.

We are very fortunate to possess a particularly good Yamaha grand piano, purchased in 2017 after a successful fund-raising campaign and this is used regularly for concert performances. We have recently promoted our own series of Sunday concerts and have also welcomed Abingdon Music Festival and visiting choirs and orchestras from further afield. We also have close links with Albert Park Singers - a local community choir - which both rehearses and performs in St Michael's.
