Each of the three churches in the parish is a popular wedding venue and couples are warmly welcome to be married in any of them. As a first step, couples are invited to contact the Parish Administrator to book an appointment with one of the clergy. These appointments usually take place between 7-8pm on Wednesday evenings.
They are also strongly encouraged to follow the Marriage Preparation Course, which consists of 3 Wednesday evening meetings. This course is not intended to tell couples how their marriage should be, but rather to help couples explore important issues that they may not have considered, and also to think about ways in which they may communicate sensitively with each other.
Feedback confirms our Marriage Preparation Course to be much valued and appreciated. Here are some recent comments:
'I enjoyed the course and was pleasantly surprised how helpful it was. It made certain issues easier to deal with.'
'Very helpful and informative' 'Content spot on'
'Enjoyed meeting everyone and sharing ideas'
'The evenings were very well balanced. They covered everything that we needed to know. They've been valuable and I hope we can grow in honesty, communication, love and trust.'
