Friends of St Helen's Church
"The Friends of St Helen Abingdon" is a Charitable Trust, whose principal object is to assist with the maintenance and repair of the church. A building of this size and significance requires continuing maintenance and, from time to time, major refurbishment. Routine repairs cost between £10,000 and £15,000 each year.
The Trust provides a means by which supporters can preserve this lovely place for future generations, particularly those who belong to the wider community of Abingdon, or whose place of work is in the town.
The Friends run regular social and fund-raising events, and ensure that members are kept in touch with news of the church.
